Will I have the courage
To turn and walk away
When someone else around me
Says bad things he shouldn't say?

Will I have the courage
To reach out and be a friend
To someone who is hurt or sad
And has a heart to mend?

Will I have the courage
To stand tall and to be strong
when tempted by another
To do things I know are wrong?

Yes!! I'll have the courage
To do these things and more.
I won't wait until I'm tempted;
I'll decide before!

I'll decide this very minute
To be courageous, brave, and true
And follow Christ's example
In all I say and do.

Simple Talk: I Can Follow Jesus Christ's Example

Jesus Christ was baptized
and I'll be baptized, too.
I'll follow his example.
That's what I want to do.
I'll follow in His footsteps.
I'll study and I'll pray.
I'll try to be more loving
each and every day.
